| The use of radioactive material in Canada is regulated by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). Organizations planning to use radioactive material must obtain a license from the CNSC before they can take possession of radioactive material. License applications are subject to a thorough review and applications not meeting CNSC standards are rejected. A rejected application can be costly in terms of both time and money. We can assist with the preparation of license applications and amendments to ensure that they meet CNSC standards.
Our licence support involves not only filling out the application form appropriately, but also includes a review and revision of your current radiation protection program to ensure compliance with the current regulations. We like to get to know our client's business so that our support is both effective and relevant.
Purchasing new material, adding new devices, amending licenses or simply requiring clarification on the regulations are all services we can provide licensees in Canada. |

| An effective radiation safety program is the best protection a company can provide for it's employees. At a client's request, we will audit their radiation safety program and highlight any existing deficiencies. If deficiencies are found we will offer our expertise to assist in the development and execution of a more effective program.
For those clients who find themselves developing a program for the first time, we can provide the necessary direction to produce a program that is both acceptable to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and cost-effective. |

| The use of radioactive material for industrial, commercial and research purposes is widespread and growing annually. While providing great benefits, there are natural hazards associated with ionizing radiation.
To help our clients achieve the safest working environment possible, Stuart Hunt & Associates Ltd. can develop safe work procedures and policies for working with or around radioactive material. Emergency response procedures can be provided to control radiation dose in an emergency situation. As well, for those clients who use nuclear gauges, a set of leak testing procedures can be developed. |
