The 2241-2RK Emergency Kit packages all the basic radiation measurement tools needed to handle a radiological emergency into a convenient carrying case to facilitate a quick response when required. The kit includes the digital, auto-ranging, and versatile Model 2241-2 Scaler-Ratemeter that can measure exposure, contamination, and samples. Responders can either plug in the Model 44-9 alpha-beta-gamma GM pancake probe for contamination measurements and measuring samples, or the Model 44-2 high-sensitivity gamma scintillation detector for locating the source of high readings. A locked toggle switch selects the correct set of operating parameters for the detector currently connected to the instrument to optimize the measurement. A 137Cs check source is included to verify proper operation of the instruments along with a check source holder for convenient and secure accessibility. The rugged transport and storage case is foam-padded with cutouts in for each device and gives air- and watertight, corrosion-proof, and padlockable protection.
