PL-8 Magnetizing Coil

The Parker Research PL-8 Portable Magnetizing Coil is designed for use in magnetic particle inspection (MPI) of ferrous metal components. It is used to generate a magnetic field for inspection using dry powder or wet fluorescent media, and can also be used for demagnetizing parts after inspection.

The coil features an 8-inch inside diameter and is constructed from durable molded black polyurethane for use in industrial and field non-destructive testing (NDT) environments.

This unit includes a foot switch control (with optional hand switch), a 10-foot power cord, and a sealed electrical connection box with a flat base that allows vertical positioning. The PL-8 operates on 115VAC, 60 Hz power and is designed for a 50% duty cycle with thermal overload protection for operational safety.

A plastic carrying case is included for transport and storage.
