DA-1500 Portable Magnetic Inspection Unit
The Parker Research DA-1500 Portable Magnetic Particle Inspection Unit is a heavy-duty 1500 Amp MPI system designed for high-performance non-destructive testing (NDT). It delivers powerful AC or half-wave DC (HWDC) magnetic fields, making it ideal for reliable magnetic particle inspection in demanding field and industrial environments.
Field selection is easily controlled using the appropriate field cable connector, allowing operators to switch between AC and HWDC modes depending on inspection requirements.
The unit features infinitely variable current output, adjustable from zero to maximum using the front panel control. Output is clearly displayed on the built-in panel meter, while actual current performance is influenced by cable size and length.
AC magnetic field capability provides excellent sensitivity for detecting surface-breaking defects, making it ideal for high-accuracy inspections. In addition, the AC mode is highly effective for post-inspection demagnetization, improving safety and reducing residual magnetism in tested components.
