Echo Shear Wave Couplant™

Echo Shear Wave Couplant™ is a high-viscosity, flowable ultrasonic couplant specifically formulated to support the transmission of shear waves and guided waves at ambient temperatures. Its optimized bulk and shear modulus allow for reliable coupling of normal incidence (zero-degree) shear waves, making it ideal for specialized UT applications where conventional couplants are not effective.

Designed for ease of use, Echo Shear Wave Couplant requires only a thin layer applied to the transducer face or test surface to achieve optimal coupling. The water-soluble formulation allows for quick application, easy removal, and clean inspections without residue.

Echo Shear Wave Couplant™ contains no VOCs, oils, hydrocarbons, glycerin, glycols, silicones, or petroleum distillates, making it a safer, cleaner option for controlled inspection environments.
