Echo Ultrasonics Echo 3HT™ Fluid
Echo 3HT™ Fluid is a versatile, water-soluble ultrasonic couplant designed for inspections where water alone is insufficient. It performs reliably across a broad operating range of -30°F to 350°F (-34°C to 177°C), making it ideal for low- and intermediate-temperature ultrasonic inspections.
With low viscosity that remains pumpable down to 35°F (2°C), Echo 3HT™ Fluid ensures excellent surface wetting and consistent coupling on metals, plastics, and composites. It leaves minimal residue, is slow-drying, and contains no glycerin, preventing interference with subsequent penetrant inspections.
Environmentally and operator-friendly, Echo 3HT™ Fluid contains no formaldehydes, nitrates, nitrites, or glycol ethers, and can be easily removed with a wet or dry cloth or a water rinse. It is perfect for technicians seeking reliable, residue-free ultrasonic coupling without compromising safety or inspection quality.

Features
- Broad operating range -30 °F to 350°F (-34°C to 177°C)
- Water soluble: easier to remove than most fluid ultrasonic couplants
- No “oil slick” when used where couplant may drip into a body of water.
- Lowest viscosity fluid that remains pumpable down to 35°F / 2°C
- Compatible with a broad range of materials including most metals, plastics and composites
- Good Surface wetting due to low surface tension and solvent properties.
- Slow Drying at ambient temperatures
- Contains no glycerin which can interfere with subsequent penetrant inspection.
