Echo Ultrasonics Glycerin Couplant
Glycerin Couplant is a versatile, general-purpose ultrasonic couplant with medium viscosity and high acoustic impedance, making it ideal for inspections on rough surfaces and highly attenuating materials. Its stable, fluid formulation ensures it will not harden on equipment and is compatible with a variety of plastics, providing reliable performance for a wide range of applications.
Glycerin is suitable for high-frequency delay line inspections, high-frequency delay line thickness gauging, and contact transducer testing on reference standards. It is approved by GE as a supplier of Glycerol batch #205 for the inspection of CFM56-7B engine fan blades in accordance with SB 72-1033. Packaged in 16-oz / 500 mL bottles, Glycerin Couplant provides consistent coupling for precise ultrasonic measurements.
