MiAS - Materials image Analysis System

Digital Image Correlation(DIC) has been used in research labs for years, but cost, complexity, and computing have prevented a transition to routine testing. Cameras and AI are used in ever-increasing areas of life due to the significant improvements they bring in detection and analysis. MiAS is an image analysis specifically designed to improve monotonic BMD tests.

Description:

• MiAS can be used in place of standard I-FIT, Ideal CT, and IDEAL RT frames
• It can be used in any testing machine able to run monotonic BMD tests and will be directly integrated with the  HM-5125A
• Cameras film both sides of the specimens under test
• Integrated microscope lights provide consistent illumination
• The user has the option to enter expanded test (meta) data
• Videos and images are linked to date, time, and embedded metadata for each test specimen
• Prior to testing the software determines if specimens are correctly positioned by the technician
• As MiAS is designed for 150mm diameter specimens, it can also be used to record images of Hamburg and OT specimens
• QR codes can be used for frame and specimen tracking
• The software measures and records changes in height and horizontal diameter
• MiAS can be used as a BMD machine verification tool, to assess performance under real test conditions
• Images and metadata can be used in dispute resolution situations, or to investigate unexplained changes in results
