Parker UW-12 Underwater Probe
The Parker Research UW-12 Underwater Contour Probe is a DC magnetic yoke used for magnetic particle inspection (MPI) in submerged environments. It is designed for surface and applicable inspection requirements where DC magnetic fields are permitted on ferrous materials.
The UW-12 produces a direct current magnetic field and is intended for underwater MPI applications requiring permanent magnet or full-wave DC field compatibility. The unit features sealed laminated leg sections designed to prevent water migration, supporting reliable operation in submerged conditions. A molded 3-foot power cord pigtail allows connection to user-supplied underwater connectors or cable splicing systems.
This underwater contour probe is used in magnetic particle inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) environments such as marine structures, offshore installations, and underwater maintenance operations where DC magnetic field inspection methods are required.
